Trying out Zero Waste Lifestyle w/ Refuse PH + Giveaway!

Monday, May 20, 2019

Trying out a legit zero waste lifestyle at this moment of my life might not be possible but lil baby steps towards it will help mother earth from plastic pollution in the future, right?

So I got this beauty kit package from Refuse PH last week and when I saw the products, I am very impressed on how we could actually lessen the use of plastic in our lives. I’ve already watched some videos before about people with this zero waste lifestyle. I think it’s a really impressive idea to buy goodies on refills and package-less but it’s not really a common practice here in the Philippines. Even though there’s bamboo toothbrushes and metal straws as a famous ‘less-plastic’ campaign but I haven’t known a local shop that does the refills of laundry detergents, bath soaps, and etc. that actually promotes the zero-waste lifestyle until I discovered Refuse PH.

Let me show you some of the products that I received from their beauty kit. I’ll be sharing this Zero-Waste Lifestyle kit worth P3,000 to 1 luck follower so read all of it so you can join the giveaway at the end of this post! ;)

Re-usable Produce Bags that you could use for laundry detergent re-fills.

This papaya and calamansi soap is so cheap by the way! Worth 20pesos each and it’s pure organic.

Washable Cotton pads? Bright idea for toning and cleansing the face!

And this, shampoo bar from @mayumiorganics that is very travel-friendly. No need to worry on leakage to spill on your luggage bag.

A metal straw set. This thing is so basic so if you don’t have one, grab yours! Let’s start on the most common thing, shall we. Honestly, I already have a metal straw, so I’ll give this set to my hubby.

Natural skincare that uses basic ingredients for transformative results.

Rosewater
 Toner

Bentonite Clay, Kaolin Clay, and Charcoal Clay.

CDM Scents
Ahh! I’m in love with these. I really like applying scents and oils. I find them very effective to calm myself. It’s very therapeutic and relaxing.

Hyaluronic Acid

Essential Oils
I might just use these all at once. Lol

Faboolash

Oooh perfect, I don’t have long lashes, so I might review this product soon!

Yay, finally have a bamboo toothbrush! I will convince my family to use these too. We change our toothbrushes 2-3x a year, and it’s a lot of plastic. Let’s start the change, little by little.

Squeaky Clean Kids

This is an organic anti-bacterial handmade soap and it’s goats milk honey + milk! Sounds delicious. Haha. Oatmeal has rich anti-oxidant properties and helps undo damage done to your skin by pollution, UV rays and chemicals. Oats helps reduce itching and inflammation and can be used to calm eczema and heal psoriasis. Owing to its healing, moisturizing and anti-oxidant properties, oatmeal is effective in soothing sunburn.

And ladies, if you haven’t heard a re-usable and washable napkin and panty liner, then here it is. I was actually surprise that these kind of products exist! But I realized, our lolas used cloth as their napkin before. So basically, we’re just going back to the good old days but more creative, practical and safe from harsh chemicals.

  2. Baby steps can go a long way. Just when I became a mother I became more conscious on the things that I buy and use in our home. Currently I am using natural products like shampoo, conditioner, dishwashing liquid and bottle cleaner in liter sizes. Because "One liter, less litter!" I felt like im kinder to our planet. Thanks for hosting this giveaway. I say yes to washable cotton pads, im joining too. IG: @ividublinsm
